Went for a birthday brunch and shared a bite of everything and each dish was delicious in its own way. I went basic and got the bacon egg and cheese and it was so different. I was not expecting the roll/bun for it to be so soft and perfect. The scrambled eggs come a bit easy/runny and the whole thing was so gooey i couldn't tell where the egg ended and the melty cheese began. All that to say, it was delish and I forgot the bacon was even there, which is rare. Highly recommend their pickle plate btw. and any pastry/bread is probably 10/10 too

Cute place near my son’s place so we met for dinner. They had Pedro on sax for the Monday night jazz show and the band was great! Definitely fun to see jazz on Sunday or Monday nights. Lovely service and the roast beef sandwich was great (I would love horseradish to be available though). Dr Brown’s cherry soda is always a treat to get too! Burgers were appreciated for the others in our party. We enjoyed our twice baked potato too. My kids gave two thumbs up to the coconut cream pie. Team service and everyone was attentive and friendly. My son buys sourdough bread here regularly. Great spot!

The Italian sandwich is full of vibrant flavors with a nice touch of acidity and fresh veggies! Bread has a crips crust and soft texture inside. Also tried the artichoke antipasti and it was delicious! For some reason it was like eating pizza in salad form. Loved the almond cake! Super fragrant!

Best known for their Breads, now offered at over one hundred Los Angeles’ eateries, Bub and Grandma's also serves their goods at a Restaurant in Glassell Park where guests can experience Breakfast or Lunch on-site or via the takeaway window. Owned by Andy Kadin, his brand expanding from Farmer’s Markets in 2017 to a Restaurant and Pizzeria, would-be guests are asked to wait at a generally unmanned podium on arrival for seating, this a prelude of things to come as service in general seems fairly disinterested. Offering both counter seats and booths, a look at the kitchen showing much of the Food mere assemblage, arrival before 11am sees Egg Sandwiches take center stage with fluffy Eggs folded neatly on a soft seeded-Kaiser Roll with a choice of Meats, Mayo and Ketchup. Priced akin to other Los Angeles Breakfasts, think $14 Sandwiches and $7 Pastries, Bub and Grandma’s Buttermilk Biscuit arrives plain with extra cost for Butter or Jam largely unnecessary as the quality is excellent with substantial textural variance from bite-to-bite. The sandwiches were amazing. We tried the brisket, meatloaf, roast beef and Italian and everyone was delicious. We most enjoyed the meatloaf and the side sampler was also very delicious (shout out to the mashed potatoes) Service staff were friendly and the only thing was we had to wait for space indoors for about 20 mins at 1PM on Saturday
